Mark x, intersarms, Charles Daly, Remington, brno, Whitworth... all the same sction, all large ring 98s.. even a surplus 98 extractor will work. Even the "magnum" is a standard length 98 with the sction opened up opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? Sarco or Numrich. Some on eBay. As stated, they are just 98 Mausers, and you can grind a standard one for a .532 case if necessary.

Well, my parts hunt wasn’t going well….so I bought a donor Whitworth 458 and took the extractor, ejector, and trigger assembly and swapped them out.

Brownelles used to sell Mauser 98 extractors that were available for standard(.473) or magnum (.532) cartridges. I would check with them, although the M98 aftermarket has dried up over the past couple of decades. You’re far too kind and I could never take advantage of a fellow AR member like that.

Brownells used to be a "go to"...But unless you need AR or 45 stuff..don't waste your time. I thnk any of the gunsmiths here on AR could have easily taken care of the prblem

Don't think Brownells is even interested in anythng but AR and 45 parts and pieces. Would seem any legitmate gunsmith should have been able to take care of the problem

None of the young shooters wants anything to do with a wood stock or a bolt action. But yes, any decent gun "smith" can make a standard 98 extractor work on a magnum case.
