I have a '98 in 350 Rem Mag that was tefloned about 10 years ago, and I'm noticing a few chips in the material around the bolt shroud. This rifle has been hunting every year since it was finished (either in my hands or a friends) and I believe that it is a durable finish. Seems to be smoother than my usual matte blue, as well. No and NO, I used it on a couple of salt marsh shotguns. The finish chipped and rust got under it. Nasty. Parkerizing works. Scot
