The action of my Marlin Camp Carbine sticks open after firing the last shot in the magazine. I have to pull the bolt back several times to get it to close. I have dissassembled the action and cleaned it. This caused no change in the carbine's behavior. I downloaded an instruction manual off the internet. The manual shows a manual button to push to hold the action open. My carbine doesn't have this feature. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Hunt1

Hey yeah, my government model .45 does the same thing! I think maybe it's defective, do you guys think I should send it back? (Sorry, couldn't help myself.) "How do you know this to be true?" -- Finn Aagaard

I saw a camp 9 that did that ,it was a problem with the mag. If I remember right the feed lips were rubing the bottem of the bolt or someting.. The owner flatened off the top of the feed lips with a file and no problem. This may or maynot be your problem . Hunt take an empty mag... stick it in the action pull the bolt back it should stay BACK... drop the mag, work the bolt hand once, it should close... this should happen EVERY time this let's you know you are empty, and is standard are almost all semi auto guns. jeffe opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? Thanks for the replies. I've been away for the weekend. I am familiar with the way automatics work. My carbine stays open after the last round is fired. Then when I pull back the action and release it it stays open. I remove the magazine, it still won't close. Then, after repeated efforts, it will close. The next time I go through the same stuff. Is this just something that I have to live with? Is there a fix? Hunt1
