I have a Ruger No. 1V, in 22-250 that the barrel has been shot out. My question is: is the action worth anything as a donor action for a custom project? I have been watching the classified adds and haven't seen any Ruger No. 1 donor actions, and haven't seen anyone post on the classified adds to find out what something is worth so I am not sure of which place to post this but I will try it here. Thanks in advance for the help. Later, pdhntr

They are worth something. You might check with Mark Stratton, octbarrel@aol.com He uses them often but usually buys a barreled action to start.

They're generally ruined when the barel wears out. I'll pay shipping and dispose of the remains for you. ![]() ![]() Seriously, I'll bet it would move if posted in the classified section. Year of mfg general condition any accuracy mods? I'm a little interested myself. Covey16

I have bought a couple Ruger #1s to rebarrel, and the first, a .223 turned out to shoot so well, I am leaving the Ruger barrel on it. I have not test fired the second one yet, a 7mm mag. I am always on the lookout for more.
