pdhntr1I have a Ruger No. 1V, in 22-250 that the barrel has been shot out. My question is: is the action worth anything as a donor action for a custom project?
I have been watching the classified adds and haven't seen any Ruger No. 1 donor actions, and haven't seen anyone post on the classified adds to find out what something is worth so I am not sure of which place to post this but I will try it here. Thanks in advance for the help.

CustomstoxThey are worth something. You might check with Mark Stratton,
octbarrel@aol.com He uses them often but usually buys a barreled action to start.

covey16They're generally ruined when the barel wears out.
I'll pay shipping and dispose of the remains for you.

Seriously, I'll bet it would move if posted in the classified section.
Year of mfg
general condition
any accuracy mods?
I'm a little interested myself.

ClarkI have bought a couple Ruger #1s to rebarrel, and the first, a .223 turned out to shoot so well, I am leaving the Ruger barrel on it.
I have not test fired the second one yet, a 7mm mag.
I am always on the lookout for more.
