375 H&H Mag Box For Charles Daly Mark X
I have a new C Daly 375 length action. It came with the side button release for the floor plate. I prefer the in the bow style better. Will the trigger guard off of the old Interarms action fit? Or did they change the way they opened up the action? Does anyone have one of these that they would be willing to sell or trade? Does Blackburn make bottom metal for Chuck's recievers?

Someone once said Sunny Hill makes one but I haven't been able to confirm that.

The MkX/CD is opened to the front only so you can buy a Blackurn standard and modify the box. Cut off the front and weld an extension.
If you look closely at the one you have, that is how Zastava does it.

The last option and one that works fine for an every-day hunter is to cut off the front and leave it. The front of the mag well functions as the front of the box; just make sure it doesn't undercut the ramp too far. If it does, build it up with bedding material. My Whitworth is set up this way in a good synthetic and it has functioned perfectly for 25 years in three hard kicking calibers: 300 Wby, 375 Wby and now 416 Rem.

Every year when I pull it apart, I think to myself I gotta finish that and every year I have something more critical to get done. But it works well regardless.

"Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson.

Thank you all for the responses. I think I will just get a standard length and get it lengthened. I have seen them around for $100 or so.

Sure...
this are modified military parts... or at least from the military build... it looks like they could teach us a couple things on how to dress up surp to nice.. but they are NOT purpose built like a blackburn

when you tried to tell me the diff in quality from a blackburn to a markx .. both work.. the markx is just looks more "worked" than the blackburn of "designed"

Oh I see said the blind man.

Yeah but its not a real fair comparison is it.

Did you look over milling the floorplate release button on the Mark X, simple slick fix to improve the new model Mark X floorplate release.

On my Daly's with the cross pin. I mill off the top half(closest to the stock) Still gives me plenty to push and allow me to not have the trench in the stock.

Yes, thats what I was discussing. Only 1/3 works and both sides are what I was describing. Simple little fix.
