11.2x60 Schuler on a Banner Mauser action. One picture is worth, well, you know.

Very Nice!
I like the contours. Looks hefty.
What's the completed rifle going to weigh?

Just lovely! Is that barrel a copy of a Type A in 404 Jeff?

FISH!!

Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984:

"Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."

I just checked, the stock, with a 1/2" barrel channel, but no pad weighs 2 1/2 pounds.

That trigger guard treatment is intriguing. Reminds me of Rem 700 or more appropriately a 1917/14 Enfield. It's a good look. I trust you will give the metal a nice rust blue? Wink

Is that a McGowen barrel you contoured? What is the muzzle outside diameter?

I just had to drop the action into a stock ( not it's proper one) and do a little load work.
So far 350 grn Hawks do and easy 2300 fps with primers still rounded. 400 grn woodlieghs at 2150 fps with the same low pressure signs.
It fits and feeds perfectly from a standard 8mm mag box. Nothing wrong with the old cartridge, like the 10.75x68, it got a bad rap from poor bullets and loads.
