11.2x60 Schuler on a Banner Mauser action. One picture is worth, well, you know.

Dulltool17Very Nice!
I like the contours. Looks hefty.
What's the completed rifle going to weigh?

theback40I just checked, the stock, with a 1/2" barrel channel, but no pad weighs 2 1/2 pounds.

BobsterThat trigger guard treatment is intriguing. Reminds me of Rem 700 or more appropriately a 1917/14 Enfield. It's a good look. I trust you will give the metal a nice rust blue?

Jgrabow6493Is that a McGowen barrel you contoured? What is the muzzle outside diameter?

theback40I just had to drop the action into a stock ( not it's proper one) and do a little load work.
So far 350 grn Hawks do and easy 2300 fps with primers still rounded. 400 grn woodlieghs at 2150 fps with the same low pressure signs.
It fits and feeds perfectly from a standard 8mm mag box. Nothing wrong with the old cartridge, like the 10.75x68, it got a bad rap from poor bullets and loads.
