I have a commercial FN Mauser that at some point was rebarreled to .300 Weatherby. Not my first choice as I already have a .300 Weatherby, but I got a screaming deal on it. Question is, what can I now rebarrel it to? My biggest rifle is a .375, so I'd like to go bigger with this one. 458 Lott? .416 Rem? Any other ideas? Thanks, Rob NRA Life Member

going to the lott, or any other bigbore, will put more stress on the stock. the easy ones, assuming it feeds well you can go 470capstick on down .. full length monsters the captick, lott/ackley/watts/ 416 rm/huffman, etc .. opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? .416 Taylor, .458 W M should all fit in a standard length Mauser action . Extreme Custom Gunsmithing LLC, ecg@wheatstate.com

It's already in a McMillan stock, so not too worried about the stock. I bought this rifle, an FN Supreme, in the McMillian stock, with a Shilen barrel for $320
