I acquired a Kimber 89; 375 H&H a while back and am beginning my enhancement to the rifle. It has a typical blondish english stick. Very straight grained. I plan on glassing the action. Curious if when I go this path if I should add a crossbolt? Does a 375 warrant this enhancement? The gun does have a forward recoil lug on the barrel. It also has a relatively heavy contoured barrel.

I think you should crossbolt the stock with one, preferrably two crossbolts. Do this before bedding. If beyond your capability, have Ahlman's in MN do the recoil crossbolts.
