I'm getting ready to re-barrel and bed a model 600 rem. Does anyone know if bedding the first inch or so of barrel is better on these or float the entire length. Is there anything else I should know about this action, I've never worked on one before. Thanks

Handle it like you would the M700. Won't hurt a thing to let the epoxy flow a little forward of the recoil lug. Just make sure the contact is uniform on both sides and ends evenly. _______________________________________________________________________________ This is my rifle, there are many like it but this one is mine. Had three 600 rebarreled and bedded in the above manner, and all have shot extremely well
