Is there a place to get a cheap wood stock for a Large Ring 98 and a 1910 Mex action?

A drop in stock. It is just for temporary till the good stocks are made. Short term using stock. No finish or checkering needed.

I don't care if the barrel channels fit or not
I'll open them up or fill them with Acrraglass
as needed.

Brownells has one for $96.00 but it is for the Large Ring only.

Allen

It's a Mauser thing, you wouldn't understand.

How about the military stock the action was issued with? Chop the front, toss the handguard, glass it in and you are good to go. I doubt you'll find anything cheaper and it sounds like what you are looking for.

If its temporary, why not a Ramline? I think that's about as cheap as you can get.

"Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson.
