Hey Rich - Break loose and get the Polaris. I have and 08 FJ Cruiser, that will outgun any of those 4door Jeeps running around, and a Polaris Ranger to go along with it.

The Ranger has a glass windshield, roof, Warn winch and a snowplow blade. Have used it here on the property for over 6 years now. Contrary to what some have said here, I change oil once a year have only replaced one belt. In addition to plowing snow,(we get over 140 inches) it goes along on Elk, Deer and other hunts as well.

The FJ has a Smittybuilt front and rear bumper, with a built in winch, replacement front struts to level it out, running Goodrich TA tires and with the "lock out" axle set will go where Jeeps only dream of. This is the last year for FJ's in the States so would advise folks to take a look if they want a serious off road vehicle before they are history. The used ones now will start commanding a very inflated price for those who actually know what they are capable of.

Rich, off subject, will you be at SCI in Vegas?

Larry,

agreed on the FJ. My wife loves it. The dealer here ordered as many as he could this past spring, and they are not discounting them a dime.

Yes, I'll be at SCI. Send me a PM and I'll give you mine and NPD345 (Shane) cell numbers.

I'm negotiating on the 570 ACE.

I'd rather use my ATV. Not only are they much less expensive, but you can travel over rough terrain much faster and easier with an ATV than a side-by-side. At times you need capacity, just add a trailer.

Rich, I've owned Honda 4 wheelers since they first came out many years ago. On my second Honda Rancher EFI now. Last February I took the plunge and bought a Polaris Ranger 570 EFI. Wasn't sure if I really needed it or how much I'd use it. Well, about a year later I love the Polaris and use it almost daily. Fast as hell and just a great machine! I still own the Honda Rancher but only use it for spraying Roundup or Crossbow or spreading fertilizer and seed on my food plots. You should strongly consider the Ranger 570 EFI. BTW, cost was just under 10K "out the door" including dealer installed hardtop, windshield and rear curtain. Hope this helps.

Idaho has some interesting rules for orvs.
To use the taxpayer funded trails system, you cannot go over 48 inches wide.
The Polaris dealer has the same vehicle in 48/50 inch, 55 inch, and 60 inch versions. And offset wheels and tires to switch the narrower ones out.

Weird, huh?
