Someone suggested that we start a thread showing pictures that we like for the sake of the picture... Kind of "Let's see what can come out of the camera".

Here is the one that gave him the idea, plus a couple more that I like.

The peep is made by Recknagel, and was installed by Heym on my claw mounts.

Fastest sights I ever had.

Here it is when it arrived new. You'll notice that it is very Teutonic in design: full of sharp corners all over, and sturdy enough to split an elephant skull open if you run out of ammo.

In the picture at the start of the thread, it has been smoothed and rounded. And a number of full-day carrying in the bush have taken care of the cold blue I had applied to the work...

It's a Heym, which matches pretty well with a Rolex. Very good quality, but the "inside" is purely functional: not much soul.

With a Holland I'd have put this one:

Phillip A, you have unnerved and disappointed me.

That second timepiece - the one to match with a H&H - is not a Patek Phillipe.

See that such omissions do not reoccur.

Carry on.
