We have run English Springers for over 25 years in Europe and RSA, always as working dogs. The one bitch that we have at the moment (5 yrs) is probably the best working girl we have ever had - imported from UK with a super pedigree!

We had her mated to a liver white dog out of Holland and the result was 6 wonderful pups - 4 bitches and 2 dogs, 4 liver white and 2 black white!

4 are going to hunting homes next weekend and we are keeping 2 bitches for ourselves!

Happy days!

Adorable pups. Great breed!

They look like great pups. My black and white boy is 14 and has been the best dog. Some people are very lucky to get a good pup from proven workers.

Thanks gents! I hope the new owners get the best out of them! Very promising pups - already picking tennis balls and listening to the whistle!

Looking forward to bring the two on that we are keeping!

If you have the time would be really nice to see some photo's of them growing and learning.

Had to put down our Golden a week or so ago. So sad. Yesterday I watched a male and female Springer in the field and put down a deposit on a pup from their next breeding. I can hardly wait.

Well I appreciate that very much. I notice you spend part of your time in RSA, I hope to be there next year to visit a friend.

Very hard and sad to have to put a dog down. Been there many times. But congrats on the decision to get a Springer! Great dogs!

Love Springers, I have been running them for the last 27 years. Great bird dogs and wonderful companions.

So we have sold the other 4 pups to working / shooting homes and have kept two - both bitches.
First big outing yesterday with a short drive and then a good run in an enclosed area! They
both loved it and after a minute or two of uncertainty they were racing around and exploring!
It's going to be fun bringing these two on!
They will be going into the transport box in the car as from today.

Brings back memories, coming up 4 years ago I had my little springer pup out in the field like that.
She's turned into a great hunter and companion, the perfect smooch with kids and other people. Together, my son's GSP and my springer are a formidable pair in the field.

Came across a winged Paradise shelduck when out walking after the gamebird season had closed last year, my springer needing no invitation to run it down as the drake half flew and ran from it's perch on a mound of dirt, holding it until I got there.
Your two will grow into great hunters.

First contact with dead game today - a brace of fresh shot crows. No hesitation in picking them up and proudly running around the yard!

One day at a time!

The pups - now 3 months - are coming on great, walking to heel on the lead, recalling off the lead, sitting and staying and picking up dummies and dead feathered game (crows and pigeons). Water is not an issue. Next will get them used to .410 and then start them in cover. So far no big issues and if it carries on like this they may be in the field come November and December. Having the mother around makes training a good bit easier too!

Beautiful little hunters with their proud mum. Springers always look too nice and smoochy to be the rugged hunting dogs they are.
Keep us posted when the hunting starts.
