Here is my hillbilly "automatic" dog feeder. You can make one out of plumbing pipe found in any building materials supply store. The top has a plug that screws in and the hound licks the food out of the hole in the bottom. Gravity supplies more food. He cannot knock it over and spill the food. I only use this when I am out of town. It will last several days before it needs re-filling. Along with a fence and a "Liks it" water supply your dog will be fine while you are away. ![]() This also works well as a deer or turkey feeder when filled with corn. ALLEN W. JOHNSON - DRSS Into my heart on air that kills From yon far country blows: What are those blue remembered hills, What spires, what farms are those? That is the land of lost content, I see it shining plain, The happy highways where I went And cannot come again. A. E. Housman

That is really clever....and probably works well. I'd try it with my Jack Russells, but they are such gluttons they'd probably empty it in a day and blow up like balloons. Back in the days when I had kennel dogs it sure would have been worth a try. ![]() "When you play, play hard; when you work, don't play at all." Theodore Roosevelt
