Has anyone had any experience with the Swarovski Z3 4-12x50 or 3-10x42 with the BRX/BRH reticle??

Yes I have two of the 3x10x42's with the BRX. They are AWESOME ,clear and right on the money as far as the reticule system goes. If I had one complaint about the BRX it would be that I would prefer a slightly more coarse cross hair.

I have one on a .270 Weatherby and the other on a .330 Dakota either shoots within 1/2 MOA out to the limit of the ranging capability of the scope. That is to say that the ranging reticule is very very close to being right on the money. Of course the further you get out there the more variables and your shooting/ bullet consistency errors will be magnified.

With my data plugged in I am shooting very close to zero elevation out to 500 yards at 600 yards my group was a nice 3.5" cluster but had dropped about 3" below being dead on zero for the reticule. At 700 it was about 4" low so as you can see the reticule was within "about" 1/2 MOA. Out to 500 it was right on the money.

Beyond 500 yards the variables in temperature B.C., wind elevation all really start to take hold. So for what it is I give it a solid thumbs up just make sure and shoot it out to the limit of the ranging capability and note your variations as you would with any long range system.

Also look at the Zeiss 4.5-14x44 with the Z800 reticule - dead on the money with my 300 RUM, all the way to 800 yards.

If I remember correctly the H = heavy and it has heavier lines which some think are easier to see against terrain.

Swarovski also has a free iPhone app that lets you input data such as load, elevation, angle of shot and it then display's the yardage markers for each part of the reticle tree. Pretty cool!!
