Like the D100, the D70 is a mixed bag when compared to the D1x.

Some of the features are equal to the D1x, and some are reduced.

Let's face it the D1x is a professional grade camera, but the technology is a little old now, even with the updates.

The D70's main virtue is that it uses the standard Nikon lenses in a relatively economical package along with the possibility of large scale media.

A really good solution for the F5 shooter looking for a digital device at a reasonable price.

I wouldn't ever part with my D1X, it in fact is my constant companion.

How does it compare feature wise to your D1X? I have the D100 and for noew I am still very happy with it and with what I paid for it I am not quite ready to get rid of it. I only use it for my own personal photography etc.
