My new Win 1886! First loads and chronograph sesssion have a 300gr @2650fps and a 460CP @ 2000fps!

Paco said these rifle would produce some super velocities!!

what exactly are loading in there to equal 458Winchester velocities?

If you were shooting those loads with that steel but plate rifle, ( beautifull by the way)

Ackley listed velocity like that from the .348/450 using 350 and even 500 grain bullets but the cartridge is more open than the 450 Alaskan meaning it had greater powder capacity.

I don't think I would have the cajonnes to try that load from my heavy barreled Alaskan much less an /86 with your 1/2 moon butt.
You have got one very beautiful rifle. Exquisite wood.

I'm intrigued as well. What's the load and is that a 45-90?
