| I much prefer the Marlin 1894 in .44 mag. The Winchester 94 is a fine rifle, but it was designed for longer cartridges, like the .30-30. The Marlin's action is shorter and was designed for short rounds. The Marlin feels smoother, and the solid topped reciever is more conducive to scope mounting if you are so inclined. All in all, the Marlin just feels more solid than the Winchester. |

| I held a Marlin 1894 and i really didnt like it. I dont think it handles as well as a Winnie 94. I wil hold one again when i start shopping around.
