Martin,

Bob De'Vries of Kudu Services in Melbourne is doing my 50-110....he has a long lead time, he is probably the premier gun smith in Australia.

At the moment he is building me a .404 Jeffrey on a 1909 DWM M98 and that is fairly advanced, then after that there is a few other clients in line before he begins my 50-110

Your right about bullet swaging, it is something I may have to look into....there is also a maker of hardcast 525 gr lead bullets he charges $50 per 100 I think, there an impressive looking bullet for a hard cast, just I am so used to jacketed bullets for hunting, as we get closer I may purchase some 500 gr hollow points off you at any rate, I would order a thinner jacket so as to get good expansion on grassy's and pigs.

Hey mate.

My bullet's run 37.50 pre 50 so Ya.. 50 for 100.00 is a darn good price..The trouble is in the shipping..

If i shipped them ..like the slow boat to china ..it would be around 14.00 just to ship them out to you

So in that instants woodliegh would be cheaper to buy
the only thing that might be cheaper would be the .700's i am gearing up for even the shipping cost add makes mine cheaper and there going to be from around 800 to 2500 grain bullet's..Well let's just say i can make that weight range
not that anyones going to be shooting a 2500 grain bullet out of there rifle any time soon

404 JEFFERY Nice
but now that your getting a 404 you will need a 9.3x64 ber/

OoOo And i make bullet for all them T

Martin,

I have a nice little cz 550 lux in 9.3x62 that I am having Bob bed at the moment (there was a tad of movement in the forend).....so I have that base covered.

9.3 bullets might be little cheaper to ship ??

HI,

PC, great idea,I have E-mailed many different bullet makers about this and most just say no, not enough orders,in fact I just E-mailed North Fork Bullets about this, they said it would be to long and not enough orders. As for woods I also cut off the tips, but I want a heavier bullet so mine weighted 560 grains. If Woods did a .510 I would love a 550 grain or above 525 to give a .3 SD, Martin bullets looked great when I order I will order a 550 FN. Also Kodiak Bone Core make a 450 and 500 grain just for .510 lever, I heard they make a 570, but I have never seen it ?? Other than that they are not to many as most bullet makers do not go up to a .510, to bad we could not get a Swift .510 535 or 550 FN? Kev

HI,

You guys will love the 50-110, it will kick you hard with hot loads. The thing is when you get one, you will be like me looking for a heavier bullet,550 in a 50-110 with a 22 inch barrel 2000-2050 fps or maybe more,I have a Badger Barrle in mine with a 1:26 twist, but Dave told me he will most likely use a 1:22 twist. The 1:26 was to be used for black powder for heavy weight bullets at around 2000 fps,I have gone up to 2200fps with 525 and it still works fine,Kev

HI,

Martin on your FN what is the highest fps one could use with them and the bullet will still hold togather?I think Kodiak Bone Core, which there .510 is for a 50AK, said up to around 2100 fps or so?Kev

Kev,

well I suppose all of us 50-110 owners need to email wwoodleigh and let them know we want a heaviuer bullet as the lighter stuff is covered.

When I get closer to the moment I will ring Dave Clay to enquire after his stocks....I doubt the factory stock will handle the recoil unless it is re-inforced some how.

Kev...

THe bullet's i sent you have a thin jacket wall of only
0.030 .

Soooo if you hunting ? Bear with them >( hollow cavity's)
about 2400 maybe 2500 .

there not going to disinagrate if you just shoot them
So i take it you mean on impacting game .

If your going to be hunt Somthing i don't know about up there like big foot ??? you will need a 0.050 wall thickness ..

Kev
I can make the hollow cavity no quite so deap if you want.
it will shorten up the bullet some .
if feeding is any trouble let me know

Also let me know if the wall's are to thin for want your needs are

HI,

Martin, I just E-mailed you,but that is a great idea. I like the weight of 550 for a 50-110. I like FN,but a 550 with a not so deep hollow cavity sounds great, I may have to order 100 FN and 100 HP 550 grains, now we are talking,Kev
