A friend asked me to sell two rifles for him, one is a Model 94 in 30-30. Serial number says it's from 1956. I know nothing of these so anything you can tell me would be great!
My first center fire rifle. Drilling for a sling swivel hurts collector value. Missing the sight hood, and the peep sight plug screws. $500 on a good day to someone who really wants one, retail. Maybe less, maybe slightly more. Trade in value much less.

Value has always been what the market will bear. Just a point of interest;in "The Gun Digest" seller pages, one fellow has quite a few 94's in the 50's era that he is asking $550.00-$595.00 + no takers.
Don't forget to factor in shipping costs. I just shipped a $500 rifle yesterday for $49.25 insured. It was in an "oversized" package which added about $8 to it, but it will likely cost at least $35 to mail the 94.

$450 to $600 in Idaho would be a good buy, but not exceptional for a 30-30 or 32 Special..One in 25-35 would bring $1500 to $2000 or perhaps more in that condition.
