Price check 1956 Winchester 94
A friend asked me to sell two rifles for him, one is a Model 94 in 30-30. Serial number says it's from 1956. I know nothing of these so anything you can tell me would be great!

Thanks!

My first center fire rifle. Drilling for a sling swivel hurts collector value. Missing the sight hood, and the peep sight plug screws.
$500 on a good day to someone who really wants one, retail. Maybe less, maybe slightly more. Trade in value much less.

Around here that would fetch $450 tops. Most likely $400. Same rifle unaltered would fetch $450 to $500

I'll give $500 for it without even thinking about it. Should be worth twice that in the condition it looks like it is.

Considering a new 94 is $1000+ a rifle that looks as nice as this one would bring $500-$700 here.

Value has always been what the market will bear. Just a point of interest;in "The Gun Digest" seller pages, one fellow has quite a few 94's in the 50's era that he is asking $550.00-$595.00 + no takers.

Thanks for the info. I will get with my friend to go over what I have found and come up with a price.

I have two offers via PM that I will pass on as well.

Thanks!

Don't forget to factor in shipping costs. I just shipped a $500 rifle yesterday for $49.25 insured. It was in an "oversized" package which added about $8 to it, but it will likely cost at least $35 to mail the 94.

Tell me where they are going for $1000 and I will sell all my Pre 64 94s. And they are not drilled for sling swivels.

If anyone has one that clean and wants to sell it for $500, PM me. They go for more than that here!

These are drags on the market here if one is trying to sell locally; they are banned from hunting with them here.

$450 to $600 in Idaho would be a good buy, but not exceptional for a 30-30 or 32 Special..One in 25-35 would bring $1500 to $2000 or perhaps more in that condition.
