Frank, It was Montana Rifleman. It took 3 shipments of my 71 to get it right. After receiving it the 2nd time, the hammer would fall on first cock, very, very disturbing. ![]() They finally got it right on the 3rd try. The gun was finally finished on the 3rd try and worked as it should have from the get go. Had a few marks left from the barrel change out, but at that point safety was my only concern. Sold the gun to finance another project, bad mistake. ![]() I personally wouldn't use Montana Rifleman again, but maybe with the new management, things would go better. I would also add, the owner did offer to send me a new 71 he had in stock, if I wasn't happy with the last workover of my Browning. Remember, this was a brand new Browning 71 with only one box of 348's put through it. Hope this helps. BTW, I have finally freed myself from the bonds of Commiefornia. I have re-located to Phoenix, Az. So far, great. The folks here seem to be shooter friendly, and the skies are really blue. Strange to actually see the mountains all the time. ![]() Roger QSL | ||
