Frank, It was Montana Rifleman. It took 3 shipments of my 71 to get it right. After receiving it the 2nd time, the hammer would fall on first cock, very, very disturbing. They finally got it right on the 3rd try. The gun was finally finished on the 3rd try and worked as it should have from the get go. Had a few marks left from the barrel change out, but at that point safety was my only concern. Sold the gun to finance another project, bad mistake. I personally wouldn't use Montana Rifleman again, but maybe with the new management, things would go better. I would also add, the owner did offer to send me a new 71 he had in stock, if I wasn't happy with the last workover of my Browning. Remember, this was a brand new Browning 71 with only one box of 348's put through it. Hope this helps. BTW, I have finally freed myself from the bonds of Commiefornia. I have re-located to Phoenix, Az. So far, great. The folks here seem to be shooter friendly, and the skies are really blue. Strange to actually see the mountains all the time. Roger QSL | ||
