gohip2000I think it can be done to a 50-110. I've read of others that have had this done, unfortionately I have very little info on it.
I read marlins can only go up to the 50 Alaskan, but winchesters can go up to the 50-110

DemonicalIMHO... blasphemy.
Even if it a re-production.

jackfishThe 50 Alaskan or 50-110 WCF are better suited to the Winchester 1886. You are going to have real problems trying to get the Winchester 1895 magazine to accommodate that .610" rim diameter.

jens poulsenHave tried to convert a 7.62 Russian 1895 winchester to 50-110...impossible. The compromise...45-100 with the rim turned down.

boom stick
on the 1895 i would like to see a 400/45-100 a necked down 45-100 to the 411 bullet so you can keep the barrel and have some nostalgia but get 450/400 d.g. velocities. (400@ 2150)
either turn the rims down a tad or get it to feed th slightly larger rim.
now THAT would be some lion medicine!
see how fast you can spit out 300 grainers for p.g.
that would be a nice african lever safari.

yukon deltaI'm not sure on the Winchester 1895...the 1886 will do either one. The Marlin will only handle the 50 AK. Speak to one of the numerous levergun smiths for more specifics.
