Since you recommended the PMC factory 350 gr. Hornady load (which looks like a great deal that I haven't yet ordered), have you any experience/thoughts on reloading PMC brass for this caliber? I see that CheaperThanDirt sells it, alhtough it's currently out of stock. Can you suggest any other sources? Thanks in advance for any info. -WSJ

I have so much Winchester 45-70 brass that I haven't reloaded other brass except Remington. Cheaper Than Dirt is the only source I have seen for PMC 45-70 brass. That certainly is a good price and I don't see why it shouldn't work as well as Winchester.

One thing you may want to consider is measuring the PMC brass you have and see what it's length is. I noticed on the PMC brass I picked up from some normal factory rounds that it was several hundreths of an inch shorter than my Starline, Winchester, or RP brass. So if you are looking for maximum loads PMC may not be the largest case out there. Hopefully this is a helpful observation.
