The 1886 is a 45/70 and the 1895 is 30-06. In the boxes is a 30-06 takedown and a 30-40 krag

It is very difficult to beat. The 'repro' carbine has the ladder sight that is regulated to 1200 yards. Naturally, here in Ohio, it is very difficult to find a range that is longer than 150 yards. But it shoots better than I can hold it!

I love those Win. 95 Carbines..My uncle carried one under the seat of his pickup for many years for shooting coyotes and bobcats on his sheep and goat ranch. Also shot a lot of deer with it..I also shot a couple of deer with it..It was a 30-03 (30-06) Krag and he only shot the 220 gr. Remington Corelokts as I recall..It killed well. I worked or a rancher that also shot his game with the same gun but in 30-40 Krag. He kept his in the pickup also and aways complained about me shooting up all his ammo..

You have stirred my juices, I am now in the market for either a new one or a used one..who has the new ones in stock?
