I'm looking at Ruger MKIII pistols. I like the bull barrel models and I'm looking at a 5 1/2" barrel in blued finish. This basically leaves me with two choices, the MKIII512 or the 22/45 version model number P512MKIII. Is there any real difference between these two models other than the grip design? I'm assuming the actions and internal parts are all identical, but there is about an $80 difference in price.

both are great guns... personally like the 22/45 but carry the mkIII around to impress people with the fluted barrell.. als be aware that the mags do not inerchange 22/45\\\markIII and all the mark II doe not interchange with the mark II.. not a big deal unless multiple marks??? by the way are scary accurate for the money..

I ordered a new MKIII512 a few days ago and I'm picking it up tonight. Can't wait to try it out, I have a red dot I'm not using so I think I'll install it on this gun.
