PAPI,Thanks for posting. I can buy .22LR bullets at my club for £8.00 x 100 .However I have started using non ricochet bullets on rabbits costing about double the price. My question is, will this piece of kit modify a standard bullet to do the same job as the CCI.22LR Segmented HP Subsonic? I quite like the idea of having some input to my rimfire bullets. Any idea or am I ?jc

Hi, I'm not sure what you are specifically asking.. ? The " D Rock Forming Rods " will modify the Bullet tips, depending on which one you choose.. It will also theoritically, slightly change the Diameters of the Bullet ( Swage Process ) to more of a consistent diameter, along with Length ( Adjustment Collars ) in the process. I intially started off tinkering with a " Paco Tool ", after reading an article a few years back. It lacked the fine tuning: Adjustments/ Length. PACO TOOL:The below link describes (review) the process better than I can ! http://gunblast.com/Paco.htm http://gunblast.com/Paco2.htm I also have a " Neal Waltz Tool ", which I really liked.. But, I somehow misplaced the two forming Rods.. I feel like a I'm hoping to re-locate them ..? I decided to order the " D Rock Tools ", as a replacement, & it has more " Forming Rod Options ".. Here's an informational link, comparing the Three Best known, Modification Tools. Neal Waltz, Paco Kelly , D Rock: http://rimfireshooting.com/index.php?showtopic=7185 I now own all three My personal take on all of this. 1. You could modify ( Diam / Length) a particular Rimfire Bullet. It might have changed just enough ( modified ), into a one small hole (5-10 round groups) @ 50 - 100 yards, in your particular Rifle. 2. You then decide to use that same Rifle/Ammo Combo, for " Hunting ". You could again " Modify ", this very accurate bullet (or any other), using one of the Forming Rod; Flat Point / Hollow Point, etc. PAPI

Papi, Thank you for the excellent links and info,Im really interestd in the 'Neal Waltz Tool and I hope you find your forming rods. I figured as my choice of bullets (Lapua, CCI and Winchester Segmented) were getting expensive. That I could improve by modifying the less expensive bullets, I can get at my club, using some of the tools you posted. Thanks jc
