I used CCI FMJ's on a coyote today and wasn't impressed, due to having to look for the dog. What bullets out their that would put em down quick, I mainly use CCI's V-max for squirrels and such. Its a Ruger 77. I could use bigger gun but am within a mile where I hunt coyotes.

Where'd you hit it?

i wouldn't be at all surprised that a 17 caliber fmj didn't do well. next time try a bb gun
