Ted,

I could have you shooting the Suhl into tiny holes in no time. It's the gun. Everyone I have let shoot it including my son has shot tiny holes for groups.

Here's a group my son shot that is low, but he was aiming at the center dot. It don't matter where the group is on the target is what I told him as long as they are all tight into one little hole like that. Brandon is now 17. He shoots real well for his age. Plus he doesn't shoot very often with me becasue he works and goes to school and runs around all the time with his friends. Brandon shot this target about 3 months ago.

Here's a few good groups my nephew shot. He never has shot a bench gun. He did ok.

Brad, You got to try the 200 yard .22 LR shooting.....But....The Ruger is a stock gun but I have made many "tweaks"

Cut a recessed crown 90' to the bore and .062 or so deep.

Drilled and tapped for a trigger overtravle screw.

trigger job...still needs more done

Floated the barrel a ton!!! about 1/32 per side

Glassed just under the chamber

Installed a steel plate in the action inleting to lock down the front to back play the action had. About .090 thick if I remember.

Aligned the rings with the true centerline of the bore useing a jig that I made. This is simple tool and I have never seen one used before. I can post a pic of it in use if anyone wants to see it.

Line lapped the rings. I also have a cool tool for this not many have.

Removed the barrel and ground the chamber face 90' to the bore

Cut a .001 piece of shim and wraped it around the barrel then re-installed into the action. It had .002 clearance so I tightened this up with the shim.

Added a piece of shim under the barrel clamp to allow better tourqe on the barrel screw.

This has taken years to do about one or two things a year and it has cut the rifles groups in half from the original stock version.

It is for sale by the way.....anyone?

Always glad to see an idea that might help me later on. Sounds like you thought-out the small things real well.

NC is still running happy on the .223 AckImp and occasionally the PLR-16.

Haven't found a fault yet other than if one were to use it at dawn/dusk, because at that price point it isn't the best glass but then it wasn't $2,000 either.

Not great, not bad for the price point, so far...

Happy squirrel brain exploding.

I'm going to put it on a .375H&H Mag pistol barrel Friday for more torture testing.

If it survives it'll get to live on my .22LR Contender barrel.

If you shoot enough groups you will get the braggers too clap

I always hope for a few. It does seem the occasional Random Group Dispersion aligns perfectly and a few land real REAL close together. thumb

That ought to separate the wheat from the chaff. I use a light M7 in 350RemMag for the HEAVY Recoil, but it will be nowhere close to the 375H&H handgun.

One of my S.C. buddies has a friend who uses an old Browning 375H&H with Cast Bullets for his Deer Hunting. Shoulder shots drop them in their tracks and Zero Blood-Shot meat.

This is so true.....I post my good groups but my wide ones don't even come home most of the time.
