I went a few years ago. It was decent and worth the plane ride in from Dillingham.

$378 RT on Penair if you don't use Sunday. About $500 if sunday is involved.

I also stayed several days in the ANC area to patronize the local gun shops and restaurants, whiched help justify the trip. It's just as much fun getting out of the bush as it is getting into the bush. Big Grin

Fully understood after living in Dillingham for a bunch of years. The only thing I consistently hated about coming to Anchorage was the Costco run and boxing up 30 or so boxes to mail back from the airport post office. Got pretty good at guessing weight though.

Thanks for the info.

I guess I should not fuss about the $$ it takes in gasoline for me or the wife to drive to town to shop...

I have been to Dillingham a few times.

The flight from Ank was like a bus ride in South America.

The back part of the passenger compartment of the plane had all the seats removed so the people could transport their purchases, from rugs, to mops and brooms, to food, to liquor, to household kitchen appliances, goats, sheep and chickens... shocker

Well OK I exagerated a little on the goats and sheep... and the chickens too. Big Grin

But, I did think is was a good idea for the airline to configure the plane that way.
