Thing to remember about blk bears in AK, at least here in the interior are small in comparison to many bear I saw back east. My kids, neighbors, and friends took 8 blk bear out of my stand last June and none were all that much over 300 lbs. Just my 2 cents.

I have a buddy who does a lot of disabled veteran baited black and brown bear hunts. Probably a good place to start. https://fullcurlalaska.com/

| I love hunting in Alaska, but you you may want to consider a hunt over bait in BC. Very large bears and little to no walking. Most places allow 2 bears and there are color phases.

Look up the Alaskan boat based bear hunts around the Sitka area. Hunt from a large 60'+ boat as a base using small boats to hunt the many coves...it produces some very large black bears.

Check out this outfit in Whittier, I used to have a booking business and worked with them, they have a first class outfit with a 50ft motor yacht. You can drive to the docks in Whittier from Anchorage, it's only about an hour and a half drive to get there. http://www.alaskagoodtimechart...a_cruise/default.asp
