Black Bear
My father in law and I are looking at putting together a black bear hunt in the next 2 or 3 years. We are interested in big bears and a cast and blast type of hunt. The kicker is I'm an incomplete paraplegic and have a difficult time walking great distances.

Anyone have information on a good outfitter and any information that would benefit me with my limitations.

Thanks ahead of time for your info.

Thing to remember about blk bears in AK, at least here in the interior are small in comparison to many bear I saw back east. My kids, neighbors, and friends took 8 blk bear out of my stand last June and none were all that much over 300 lbs. Just my 2 cents.

I have a buddy who does a lot of disabled veteran baited black and brown bear hunts. Probably a good place to start.

I love hunting in Alaska, but you you may want to consider a hunt over bait in BC. Very large bears and little to no walking. Most places allow 2 bears and there are color phases.

Look up the Alaskan boat based bear hunts around the Sitka area. Hunt from a large 60'+ boat as a base using small boats to hunt the many coves...it produces some very large black bears.

Check out this outfit in Whittier, I used to have a booking business and worked with them, they have a first class outfit with a 50ft motor yacht. You can drive to the docks in Whittier from Anchorage, it's only about an hour and a half drive to get there.
