The problem with that first trip to Alaska is,
having to fly home! My first trip to AK was Sept. 1994, have only been back to America for funerals/weddings.

Good luck on your adventure!

Yup!! Visited the 907 in 1989, moved here permanently in 1992. Now retired and wouldn't live anywhere else.

Never heard of Alaska referred by its area code but having lived there as well, recognized that immediately.

Use Enough GunYou see '907' everywhere there-on truck stickers, hats, car stickers, T-shirts. . . . .etc, etc.

First time I saw it, it took me a little time to figure it out.

Bill/OregonI have only been there once about 20 years ago -- Wrangell/Stikine -- but dear God I loved that place.
There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.

georgeldAlways been one of my goals.
Even joined the Army with a "contract" to be
a dozer oper in AK.
Yeah sure! Cook to Germany!
After that I drove a truck OTR that had been to Prudhoe three times the year before and had just gotten back from being one of 26 hauling iron to the Panama Canal rebuilding.
Never made it up there yet!
Was headed to Edmonton, made it to Calgary and called to check in and told to call a local number. Office trailer hauled to Gillette!
Never been further north yet.

No better time then to go then now.
Buy a ticket jump on the plane and be there in a few hours.
It is well worth it.
