I was just up in Homer and the fishing is quite good. Was wondering about the hunting. I was in the museum in town(forget the name) and a cow moose was in the parking lot. Saw several moose on the roads also.

Thought it might be a nice place to spend part of the year, but wonder about the hunting?

I don't care much for that area. I'm sure you could find some decent hunting. Goat would be good but it's all drawing. Blackbear hunting on the other side of Katchamak is good and from Homer you can fly across the lower Cook inlet and access great hunting and fishing. If you decide to go for it and spend your summers there I have a cabin at Ninilchick I'll make you a great deal on.
