458WinNosler, Swift, Failsafe, North Fork, Barnes X and Kodiak bullets are all fantastic bullets for hunting Grizzlies and Brown Bears.
Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship

grizz007the aforementioned bullets are very good for this animal. I have used all that 458 mentioned and now stick with either the Barnes or the Swift in a .375 cal. of 270 and 300 grain weight.

these new TSX barens are looking very good, but i,ve heard som negative comments from moose hunters in scandinasvia which i visit frequently. they say that blood trail is non existence or minnimal and the moose are tendendy to run a long way after good hits. many praising the old noslers and the new norma oryx ( a bonded one). i'vent had the oportunity of husing the new barnes bullets . i hope i could load some and test in near future.

<allen day>These are all great bullets. My usual advice is to go with the premium bullet that your rifle shoots best and call it good.
My most recent happy experiences have been with Barnes TSX and North Fork bullets. The 225 gr. TSX shoots incredibly small groups out of my 338 Win. Mag., and the 370 gr. North Fork not only shoots tiny groups out of my 416 Rem. Mag., but it absolutely hammers big, tough animals such as Cape buffalo so decisively that you simply couldn't ask for better performance from any perspective. I will add that the 400 gr. Swift A-Frame has also done superb work on bears out of that same 416, and 210 gr. and 250 gr. Nosler Partitions have clobbered whatever I've shot with them out of that same 338 Win. Mag. There's nothing left to be desired in terms of performance with any of those bullets.
Of course, my current, favorite 300 Win. Mag. thrives on 180 gr. Nosler Partitions; my old, retired 300 Win. Mag. performed incredibly well with 180 gr. Winchester Fail-Safes, as well as 180 gr. Nosler Partitions.
I should also tell you that my 375 H&H has done super work with 300 gr. Trophy Bonded Bear Claws, as well as 270 gr. Winchester Fail-Safes, and nothing has walked away after being hit with one of those bullets.
Not to mention that fact that I've been shooting 130 gr. Nosler Partitions for over 25 years out of the 270 Win., and it's my favorite bullet for that cartridge. I've never had it fail on medium-game, ever...........
Do you see a pattern emerging here?

boom stickplease specify cartridge, reloading or willing to have someone reload for you and distance you will be shooting...the obvious is it is the shot placement the ability to shoot under the duress and excitement and maybe out of breath not which premium bullet. but the quick answer is north fork and nosler partitions

James_BThey are all great bullets, but one is left out. The A-Square Dead Tough. It is a round nose bullet that I have had great success with. The ranges usually involved in hunting grizzlies is less than 200yds. So the lower BCs of a round nose bullet isn't that big of a deal. My personal experience has shown that their RN bullets hit alot harder and transfer more shock and create a better wound channel. Check out their website asquare-company.com also midway sells both their loaded ammunition and bullets.
