Did you read all four of the articles. How the story was changed over time. The myth or just plain lie. That old groaner being shot with a handgun several times. As been used by many to try and prove handguns are not suitable for defense against bears. Why the 1953 article by Handlogger was changed from the 1936 article and who changed it. Well not beknown. If you take the time and read Mr. Weingarten's other articles on bears and handguns uses. You Will find the he is anything but pro bear spray. | |||
