A trip to the psychiatrist must be on the horizon

No Larry, you are my kind of man!

Don't let age stop you from doing what you enjoy!

I am a few years older than you, and I follow exactly the same policy.

Knowing you, a physciatrist will need a shrink when he's done. You're obsessed!

That will be 250 dollars sir!

Larry, go for it. I'm 63, and just got back from hiking the hills in the Selway in Idaho last week, playing Jack O'Conner. You can pass up the shrink, but if you would, pay for a couple sessions for Mike. He has anger issues :-)

Larry,

Last year I was having a discussion with a friend of mine - 3 years younger than me - I am 65.

He has had some health issues, and complains that I never sit still??!!

He asked how far do I walk in a year, and I told him I have no idea.

Then he asked may be I should track my walking throughout the year, and how far do I think I might walk.

I told him I probably walk about 3,000 kilometers a year, just in my normal activities.

Well, that 3,000 stuck in my mind, and I have been using an activity tracker.

Until yesterday, I am at 2,980 kilometers!!

So 3,000 was a rather conservative estimate.

On safari, we might do between 300-400 kilometers, depending on conditions of the hunt.

This year was rather a sedate 230 kilometers.

So I suggest you forget what age you are, and do whatever makes you happy, as long as you are able to.

Soon we are all going the same way as another friend keep saying - The mind is willing, but the body is not.

Saeed:

I agree. I am extremely active. My normal exercise routine is extreme by most standards. I have beat the hell out of my body over the years. I do have some knee and foot problems which will hopefully not get any worse.

It is far more difficult to train for a sheep hunt when one lives at about 50 feet above sea level and it is FLAT!

I don't know why anyone bothers with exercise!

A rabbit never stops, and only lives seven years.

A tortoise hardly moves, and lives 150 years!

Yup, I never work. That is why I have flown 300,000 miles this year. Of course, a few of those were for hunting trips! rotflmo

Age,
Haha, it's just a number guys.
Ever notice how quickly some conversations always head towards the age subject, you mention your age and people immediately judge you on there perception of your age.
Yeah lm a slow learner but living with a 25 yr old brain and twice that and some in experience I see no reason why I shouldn't be sheep hunting at 70.
It's mostly in the head.
Only person that really matters at the end of the day is YOU.
Enjoy your hunt.
