Wow! 11 to 1 against shutting it down and unelected Federal Bureaucrats do it anyway. Anti-hunting agenda in action?

REALITY........ Alaska land in ownership by individuals is LESS the (1%) ONE PERCENT. Federal owned land in Alaska is MORE than (60%) SIXTY PERCENT. ALASKA is a "HARD COUNTRY for OLDMEN". (But if you live it wide'ass open, balls'to the wall, the pedal floored, full throttle, it is a delightful place, to finally just sit-back and savor those memories while sipping Tequila).

The proposed closure was drafted by a local who has 5+ decades living, hunting and guiding in the area. His father was a guide before him. I spoke with him at his house in Wiseman a couple of weeks ago. Whether you agree or disagree with the closure, he has the best interest of the sheep population at heart. You won’t find anyone with a negative thing to say regarding his character. And to be clear: this closure shuts down sheep hunting for all users, including local subsistence hunters. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt. Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure. -Jason Brown
