I,m glad he got one . A hurt or dead dog just sucks . I bet the 6.8 would be great on wolf .

Good for him on getting one. Any way you could let your neighbors know that you wanna set out some snares for 'em? Then they could keep the dogs tied up & out of trouble. Justa thought.
I well remember our phone con where you mentioned the wolf situation in your area. Good luck & keep an eye out. BTW, how's the reloading coming along?

Unless you're the lead dog, the scenery never changes.

I shot a big old blue on the run with my Garand bout 5yrs. back...bang flop. I like the idea of a black rifle tho', good barrel and optics sounds like a piece of work.

That wolf sunk his teeth into 2 of the 3 neighbors dogs while the neighbor ran inside for gun. Looks like the wolf grabbed dogs first in haunches, then when dog spun around, wolf set teeth in the dogs neck; pretty efficient I'd say. Neighbor has dogs on antibiotics and they will make it. Neighbor is lucky he looked out at dogs when he let them out or they'd been goners. VPSO is sending head off to be checked for rabies and telling F&G about it. No new tracks around the house, been looking too.

Bear, It was minus 45 all last week, when it warms up, going to shoot some I have loaded up, but waiting until after that to load anymore.

We have this hawaian guy who lives here during summer, visits family come winter. He is into reloading, he'll be back pretty quick; a good resource; knows his junk.

Soon as road opens, running down the road to tok to pick up a few guns & scopes that I have bought over winter. One a 338 fed armalite AR-10 . Bullshooter changed hands, new guy has super good prices on everything and is a good guy. Since I get to tok alot, probably get a few guns from him when there.

I really like Bill over on Van Horne too, he has always treated me more than fair. I want to get a gun in there when I get into fairbanks come spring. He always has nice scopes in stock, I like comparing them out the front door.

did Bull Shooters change hands again since freeze up . I forget the name of the young guy I delt with there last summer ,but he was a great guy and their prices were good . I really prefer the drpve to Tok over the drive to Palmer or Anch. . Delta has a real good gun shop also . .
