Had another great trip to SE Alaska, one of the most beautiful places on earth. We lucked out on weather and only had one rain day. Can't wait to get back up there again.

Really nice buck. Looks like you had a great time.

I too love SE Alaska though I haven't been there for a number of years.

Haven't scored him Mark, Scott was really excited so I assumed he was a nice buck. I'll throw a tape on it and see.

Jim,
This buck will go proudly into my taxidermist's FREEZER MUSEUM, on top of about 30 other pieces waiting to be mounted. CRYBABY

That's a great buck for SE Alaska. Congratulations. Nice buck, good hunt. What difference does it make what the buck scored?

Jerry,

I have a big Sitka that scores 105. Actually you've seen it. B&C is 108. Your's is definitely well into the book. Well done!

Swampshooter,

Jerry and I have been friends for many years. I'd be interested in the score just to know the number the same as Jerry and I both were interested in the rough score when he shot his 65" moose with me. You don't have to be obsessed with books and awards to want to know how your animals stack up against others. It just makes the whole experience a little more fun.

Mark

Agreed Mark,

I have never put a tape on an animal but have certainly been asked "how big was that" more than once.

The same day I made it back to base camp in the Brooks with my sheep a guy walked up from the other end of the air strip area we were all based out of and sled if he could put a tape on the sheep.

I said sure I don't care. It's groomed on one side and he measured the bases then the unbroken side and told me the number. My answer was, "Is that good?" He expression was priceless.

Cheers
Jim

That buck is without a doubt one for the books. I killed a 95 and a 98. Yours dwarfs those. Nice brace of harlequins too.
