In the Alaska Hunt thread started by Bill73 Brett mentioned Chris Batin; whatever happened to him? When I lived in AK in the 80s he wrote tons of stories, mostly about fishing but I have the book he wrote about hunting in AK.

Whatever happened to him?

Another writer name from the past: Bob Robb. Liked his articles. I remember several he wrote about hunting AK, and I think one about hunting the Mulchatna Herd - when that was a thing!

Last I heard Bob was living in Tucson.

Thanks for the update on Chris. I remember hearing he and Adele (am I recalling her name correctly?) got divorced. She was on the cover of his first AK fishing book holding a huge king. Like Ed and Lou Park, they seemed to have an idyllic life, fishing, camping, and hunting together. I was shocked to see Ed and Lou part ways as well.

Tony Russ - another Alaska author from a couple decades ago who seems to have dropped out of the scene.
