Saw and ad in Safari Time for one of those break action cannon being marketed for elephant and the like. it listed a price for the regular rifle and then 4500 more for a "fully left handed model" a always thought break actions were ambidextrous (sp). can anyone enlighten me.

Do you mean a double rifle, or a single-shot?

On a 'right-hand' DR with a single trigger, the right barrel fires first; on the same rifle set up as a 'left-hand' DR, the left barrel usually fires first. On rifles with two triggers, the front trigger will fire the right barrel on a RH DR, and the left barrel on a LH DR.

I bought a right handed Krieghoff double rifle.
I brought it to Krieghoff to have it made "left handed".
They replaced the stock with a left handed stock. While the gun was apart it needed trigger upgrades (I figure that to be some kind of recall) but they turned the triggers to the left side. The gun still fires front trigger, right barrel first but it doesn't matter to me.
Total cost $650.00 plus they kept the right handed butt stock.

No good deed goes unpunished.
