We just wrapped up this years WWIAF hunt here at Skinner Creek.
This Year we had two marines, John Keeney, and Josh Krueger these guys had there wishes of long military careers cut short in Iraq.
WE couldn't have been more blessed to have these two in camp, I had put out the invitation for John to bring his lovely wife to celebrate their 10 year anniversary. Keeley got to be in on her first hunt ever and was more then pumped to be their.

Josh was first up and scored on a great colour phase bear which treed after a hot and heavy race.

John got to share an incredible hunt with his wife in tow. This 7 foot boar had no plan on treeing and spent the better part of the evening bayed up. With day light fading the dogs moved this bear up through the timber where we were waiting. With the polite warning shot first, John and I ran into the fray with John making a great killing shot at 10 yards.

I want to thank everyone on this site which donated to www.wwiaf.org to cover the plane tickets, license and tags for these two great men.

My family and I made friends for life once again.

This hunt was filmed for the Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation promotional video. It was great to be chosen as one of the outfitters for this mission.

Here are a couple more pictures from the hunt.

What a great week we have every year with this hero's!
Unselfish men who served their country get a great opportunity to go bear hunting in BC.
Just a small token of appreciation my wife and I can offer.

Great story and what a great thing to do for our Wounded Warriors!

I've been thinking about a bear hunt in Canada, but with my hip, I would probably be more suited for shooting over bait.

Exciting news about the next WWIAF hunt. One of our own AR members had to back out of his lynx hunt this Novemeber so I was able to line up a great hero to take his place. The original hunter will get a tax receipt for the hunt cost from the Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation.
Pictures and story to come at the end of November!

Very nice indeed.

I have a pretty cool video of that black bear being chased and shot. Very cool seeing the helps dog chasing that big bear. I don't see them in any of the pictures here though, weird.
