Hi,
I shoot quite a lot of fallow, but this is my biggest so far. A real monster! I only have this photo of him hanging up that evening. It doesn't do him justice...I shot him a about year ago.

What a corker, congrats!

Without being too detailed, can you tell us what part of the country its from?

Hope you got him mounted...

West Coast!

The reason why I shot him was because he had electric wire rapped around his antlers and throat. Annoyingly the wire had ruined the cape, so a mount wasn't possible.

The Great Irish Deer (not elk!) closest relation today is, in fact, the fallow.

That fallow has a neck like a Charolais bullock.

Must have been from the same area as the monster reds in Galway.

Fantastic beast.

Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you....

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."
