Outfitter - Wild Hunting Agency Location - Southern Turkey (west of Adana) Hunters - Aaron Neilson / Bobby Davidson Weapon - Ruger M77 .300 Win Mag / Hornady Ammo - 150 gr. Superformance Optics - Leica 65mm spotter / Leica 10 x 42 Geovid binos Cameraman - Kip Peck (took some great pics for us) Lately I've kinda been on an Ibex kick after hunting my first in Pakistan in Dec. 2012. A year later I went to Spain to hunt all 4 Spanish Ibex, and last week I found myself in Turkey hunting what I think is the most beautiful of all the Ibex - the Bezoar. My client and friend - Bobby Davidson (Plano, TX) and I spent a few days with some great folks hunting some of the most incredible country I've ever seen. Frankly, I've never seen such rugged/steep country in all the places I've hunted either. Bobby had to make an incredible shot at a 47 degree down angle, just over 300 yards. I was fortunate to have a much easier opportunity at roughly 220 yards, but to see some of the places these critters called home - was indeed, amazing!!! Our entire team was very professional, as well as excellent hunters too. We were given 3 guides, a translator (who spoke perfect English) and a couple of packers too. This was the very first time that I did not carry my gun myself on a hunt, but the head guide was adamant he help carry our gear - so I reluctantly agreed. He was simply trying to help as much as possible - but I have always believed that if you can't carry your own gun/gear you probably shouldn't be there in the first place. Honestly, I'm thinking I could get accustom to that sort of thing! I let the pics below tell more of this quick little story, but suffice to say that I really had a great experience in Turkey. If you're a mountain hunter, you should seriously give this one a try!!! Happy Holidays!!!!!!!

Great pictures!!! Looking at the photos I can understand why those suckers would roll or tumble a long ways before coming to a rest. Congrats to you both!!! Graybird "Make no mistake, it's not revenge he's after ... it's the reckoning."

Curious as to what part of Turkey you were in? I'm headed over there in March so just wondering if you were in the same area. Maybe I'll track you down in Dallas for a quick chat if you'll be there.

Neat hunt and adventure! Well done. On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
