A report about my last Saturday hunt in the unfenced private reserve "la Selva" in the mountains of central Italy.
The nice roe deer was taken about 7,45 PM, when I was waiting a wild boar.
I and my brother in law, We saw the group of three deer: bull, doe and youg, at about 6 pm. They are eating very quite at about 90 meters from us. We had lot of time for take pictures with my Olympus 10x with the digital zoom.

At the end of the fallos' dinner, the Roe deers come again. Was very late, and the wild boar still they arent arrived. I have decided to shoot the bull.

central italy, around the Appennini mountains it's a special palces for reo deer hunting. In fact the population is grown up very quickly in 10/15 years from about zero to a very high concentration of animals. The climate is very good for this animal: not very cold and not very much snow, so they can growing in size more that the populations in the alps or in northern and eastern Europe. I think we have now one of the most important population in the continent with an incredible number of shootable animals.

In some area of central Italy the number of roes is truly impressive now... and medal heads are reltivly easy to have.

Bel capriolo mario, un anomalo veramente interessante una via di mezzo fra un crociato e un tulipano...

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."
