Hello Johan The photo was taken in 1934 , most of the hunters are from Belgium , ( workers at a Solvay Factory in Cantabria ) , I'll investigate when was the last time a bear was shoot legally , now absolutely forbidden . Saludos cordiales, Daniel | |||

Last Bear hunted legaly in Spain was in the sixties (I guess it was in '68) and it was a female bear hunted for a Guy from Barcelona. | |||

Hola 470 I ask several hunter here and all said the same around sixties but not sure if legally , the hunters in the photo are from Belgium , they work for Solvay company in Cantabria Saludos Daniel | |||

Saludos Daniel I readed the story some time ago, and there was a picture of the legal permit. The hunter's son was the writer and he still owns the bear at home. Buena caza. | |||
